Tests whether real visitors understand a site by simulating personas across the sophistication spectrum (expert to novice), reporting confusion, friction, and first impressions rather than technical correctness. Use before launch, after a redesign, or when a landing page needs clarity validation. Requires a running dev server and browser MCP tools.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Normies
## Overview
Dispatch a panel of subagents, each role-playing a person with a different level of tech sophistication, who land on a site with zero context. They report what they understand, what confuses them, and where they give up. The organizing principle is the **sophistication spectrum** — from expert to novice.
**This is NOT a technical review.** The review-squad:experts skill handles code quality, SEO, accessibility compliance, etc. This skill answers: "Do real people understand my site?"
## Prerequisites
- **Running dev server** — agents navigate a live URL; no static file access or localhost workarounds.
- **Browser MCP tools** — the claude-in-chrome (or equivalent) MCP server must be connected and configured for the target site. Without it, agents cannot render pages or take screenshots, making this skill ineffective.
## When to Use
- Before launch: "Will visitors understand what this is?"
- After redesign: "Did we make things clearer or more confusing?"
- New landing page: "Does this page communicate what we want?"
- Periodic check: "Have we lost sight of the newcomer experience?"
