Use when shipping a new dotnet-inspect version; independently validate one immutable candidate, present concerns, and publish only after the operator decides.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Release dotnet-inspect Use this maintainer skill only when the user asks to ship, publish, or release a new dotnet-inspect version. Read [`docs/release-workflow.md`](../../../docs/release-workflow.md) first; it owns the release contract and recovery behavior. This skill validates readiness and executes the operator's decision. Daily operations owns readiness repair. ## Select one candidate Start from the candidate named by the operator, or the newest candidate that daily operations reported ready. Record: - `release-candidate.yml` run ID and attempt; - full source SHA and `VersionPrefix`; - final artifact ID, digest, expiry, and URL; - exact-SHA `ci-required` conclusion; - every required asset and qualification job conclusion; and - daily operations' release-note, product-skill, and peer-publication reconciliation result. Require one unexpired `dotnet-inspect-release-candidate` artifact. Do not substitute a version, branch, newer run, ancestry relationship, or another attempt for any identity member. ## Independently validate readiness Confirm that: 1. How to install
mdr add richlander/dotnet-inspect/release@sha256:f706cf466a41906cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260925.239a6cf, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
