# Sentinel / vision-delivery

> Business-first computer-vision delivery copilot for Codex and Claude Code. It translates an operational request into a CV task, success gate, cheapest baseline, inspectable proof plan, and evidence-bound economics decision.

Sentinel is a plugin and workflow layer, not a model, security boundary, autonomous deployer, or production certifier. A user can begin without CV vocabulary but must provide or confirm data authority, business outcome, representative examples, error consequences, and human ownership. No independent novice outcome study exists.

## Support contract

- **Historical evidence:** one pre-v0.2 Claude/Sonnet routing run, one directional mocked process A/B, and one small private detection result; none is a current support guarantee.
- **Guided:** detection, classification, tracking, OCR, segmentation, pose/gesture, pipelines, delivery, and economics have workflow routes but not equivalent live evidence.
- **Delegated upstream:** current Roboflow MCP semantics, models, Workflows, plans, pricing, and navigation belong to official Roboflow sources.
- **Expert required:** regulated/safety-critical work, people surveillance, medical use, physical measurement, production streaming/edge architecture, governance, and final acceptance.

No credential environment variable is required for plugin installation. The v0.5 release candidate passed local clean-home marketplace simulations. Manual public-GitHub marketplace installation was recorded for v0.3 on Codex and Claude Code; the v0.5 public-install path remains unverified. When the host or account requires it, using the MCP capability requests hosted authorization; an existing authorized session may need no prompt. Live Roboflow account authorization and service behavior remain upstream checks. Use `claude --plugin-dir .` only for local development from a checkout. Cursor support is unverified. Never paste credentials into chat or commit them.

## Evidence limits

- Routing: 143 prompts in one pre-v0.2 Claude Sonnet run; precision 0.94, recall 0.85, 4 false positives, 11 false negatives. It excludes the delivery/setup routes and is not current-route, Codex, or task-completion evidence.
- Synthetic A/B: 16 mocked runs, N=1 per cell; 1 supported, 6 mixed/parity, 1 loss; developer contamination and live confirmation gap.
- B1: 11 private test images; no controlled plain comparator, no public independent reproduction, post-train count MAE absent, conveyor proxy equivalence unverified.
- B2-B5: specifications only; live results pending.
- Generated scripts, IDs, eval files, and ledger rows require inspection and execution.
- On Claude Code, a Sentinel PreToolUse hook denies paid or state-changing Roboflow MCP calls without a recorded action brief and routes the rest to the host permission prompt; on Codex, Sentinel returns the brief and stops. Ledger coverage is best-effort and not independent proof.
