Update the workhub vault knowledge base indexes (projects/knowledge/archive _index.md files). Smart mode detects changes and updates only what's needed. Full rebuild available with --full flag. Use after adding/moving documents or when indexes feel stale.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# KB Index — Smart Index Update Update the vault's `_index.md` files efficiently. By default, detects what changed and updates only affected entries. Full rebuild available when needed. Indexed zones and their index files: | Zone | Index | |------|-------| | `projects/` | `projects/_index.md` | | `knowledge/` | `knowledge/_index.md` | | `archive/` | `archive/_index.md` | | `tasks/archive/` | `tasks/archive/_index.md` | The board index `tasks/_index.md` and `_ai/index/tasks.json` are managed by the workhub app — never rebuild them here. `tasks/archive/_index.md` is a different file (a summary of *completed/inactive* tasks) and **is** managed by this command. `inbox/` and `journal/` are intentionally unindexed. ## Usage ``` /kb-index # Smart update (diff-based, fast) /kb-index --full # Full rebuild (scan everything) /kb-index --zone knowledge # Update one zone only /kb-index --dry-run # Preview changes without writing ``` ## 3-Tier Strategy Choose the lightest approach that fits the situation: ### Tier 1: Per-File Update (via kb-ingest) — ~200 tokens **When:** A single file was ingested or moved. …

How to install
mdr add atman-33/workhub/kb-index@sha256:53cd7a4bafda79f3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260719.ec248cb, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
