poteto's agent style for concise, detailed responses, deliberate subagents, unslopped prose, simple code, and verified work. Use at the start of any engineering task that matches a playbook (bug fix, feature, refactor, perf, investigation, PR babysit or shipping, multi-phase or autonomous runs) or needs rigor, and for /poteto-mode or requests for poteto's style. Skip it for casual turns or when the user opts out.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. ## Non-negotiables
Every skill named in bold below (**how**, **architect**, **interrogate**, and the rest) is a pstack sibling at `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/../<name>/SKILL.md`, except the built-ins **simplify**, **run**, and **skill-creator**, which you call with the Skill tool. Most siblings are user-invocable only, so read the file and follow it instead of calling the Skill tool. Inside a sibling read this way, its skill-directory variable stays unexpanded and means that sibling's own directory, not this one. Principles live at `${CLAUDE_SKILL_DIR}/principles/<name>.md`.
The Principles section below grounds every trigger. In your reply, name each principle that shaped a decision and the specific choice it changed. Cite only principles whose file you read this session.

How to install
mdr add lucasheriques/pstack/poteto-mode@sha256:8ee17be491bfbdf1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261016.933be83, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
