Use when about to claim work is complete, fixed, or passing — sweeps for evidence before any assertions, because unverified claims are invalid.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # The Sweep: Verification Before Completion ## Overview Claiming work is complete without verification is invalid, not efficiency. **Core principle:** Evidence before claims, always. **Violating the letter of this rule is violating the spirit of this rule.** ## The Iron Law ``` NO COMPLETION CLAIMS WITHOUT FRESH VERIFICATION EVIDENCE ``` If you haven't run the verification command in this message, you cannot claim it passes. This is Omerta Law 3 — the Rule of Truth. ## The Gate ``` BEFORE claiming any status or expressing satisfaction: 1. IDENTIFY: What command proves this claim? 2. RUN: Execute the FULL command (fresh, complete) 3. READ: Full output, check exit code, count failures 4. VERIFY: Does output confirm the claim? - If NO: State actual status with evidence - If YES: State claim WITH evidence 5. How to install
mdr add kucherenko/gangsta/sweep-verification@sha256:16301fb92624d487The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260419.30f5b92, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
