deep-codebase-analysis SKILL.md skillA
deep-codebase-analysis from ninjasln-labs/agent-skills is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add ninjasln-labs/agent-skills/deep-codebase-analysis@v1.1.1Pins v1.1.1 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Deep codebase analysis: read and analyze an entire software project's source to understand architecture, communication, design patterns, and business flows. Use when the user asks to analyze the overall structure of a whole codebase (exploring a new system, understanding architecture before maintenance, or scoping a refactor). NOT for: single-file edits, auditing one skill's SKILL.md, or reviewing a small diff — those belong to code-review / skill-description-audit.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Deep Codebase Analysis ## Overview This skill enables the Agent to perform a comprehensive analysis of a software project, from high-level architecture to implementation details, helping developers quickly grasp complex systems. ## Core Capabilities ### 1. Overall Architecture Analysis - Identify key components and organizational models (layered, microservices, modular, clean architecture, etc.). - Map data flows and inter-module dependencies (dependency mapping). ### 2. Component Communication - Recognize interaction mechanisms: APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), Message Queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka), Event Bus, or direct function calls. - Understand how components share memory or state. ### 3. Design Patterns - Detect common patterns: Singleton, Factory, Observer, Dependency Injection, Strategy, etc. - Evaluate how these patterns are applied and their consistency across the codebase. ### 4. Rules and Conventions (Coding Conventions) - Grasp naming conventions, directory structure, and project-specific best practices. - Check compliance with established coding standards. ### 5. Business Logic Flow - Trace a request's journey from UI to Database and back. …

How to install
mdr add ninjasln-labs/agent-skills/deep-codebase-analysis@sha256:5c1e5eab51aca189The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.1.1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
