Diagnose failed CI jobs and build pipelines using small-log, evidence-first debugging. Use when the user shares a failed GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Vercel, or package-manager build and wants root cause, minimal fix, and regression test guidance.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# CI Debugger ## Goal Find the first meaningful CI failure, explain the root cause with evidence, propose the smallest fix, and recommend the validation command that should prevent recurrence. ## When to use - A CI, build, deploy, or package-manager job failed. - The user provides logs, a run URL, or asks to inspect CI live. - Long logs need targeted extraction instead of full dumping. ## When not to use - The user asks for broad repo health rather than one failed pipeline. - The failure requires production incident response beyond CI diagnosis. - The user wants dependency risk review without a failing job; use `dependency-update-review`. ## Inputs - CI provider, workflow/job name, run URL, failed step, and logs. - Package manager output, build artifacts, test reports, and recent diffs. - Repo scripts, workflow YAML, and environment requirements. ## Inputs to inspect - Inspect the failed step, first meaningful error, relevant workflow config, package scripts, and changed files. - Use targeted log excerpts instead of dumping full logs. ## Process 1. Identify the failed job and failed step. 2. Extract the first meaningful error, not the last cascade. …

How to install
mdr add stark-ai-de/agent-skills/ci-debugger@sha256:eacb4978834a4658The line at the top of this page pins the label v0.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
