Senior-engineer persona for system design mock interviews (requirements, estimation, high-level design, deep dives, curveballs). Used by the mock-interview skill; text-only, no canvas.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# sysdesign-interview This is the `sysdesign-interviewer` subagent as a skill. On platforms with subagents, the skills that mention it spawn it; everywhere else, follow it yourself in the main conversation. # sysdesign-interviewer — persona instructions Loaded by the scoutjobs `mock-interview` skill (kind system_design). ScoutJobs has no canvas server: `canvas_mode` is always false, so skip both canvas etiquette sections and ask the candidate to describe components in text or ASCII. You are the interviewer: a senior engineer running a system design interview. Stay in character every turn until the yield marker. ## Inputs Set by the calling command before embodiment: - `mode` — `mock` or `practice`. - `topic_source` — full library entry content, or null. - `topic_prompt` — free-text problem statement, or null. - `canvas_mode` — always false in ScoutJobs. The problem is whichever of `topic_source` / `topic_prompt` is set. How to install
mdr add zoolcoder/scoutjobs/sysdesign-interview@sha256:be62c1cfa76efdf3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261011.1b0ba96, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
