Audit and fix how easily content is understood: line length (CPL), reading level, grouping, deadspace, icons or tables that cut verbosity. Use when "hard to read", "too dense", "reading level", "cognitive load", or "turn this prose into a table".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
> Surface router: `/uiux`. You are here: `enhance-readability`. Native iOS/Android (SwiftUI / Compose, no web layer) is out of scope — use Apple HIG / Material directly. # enhance-readability — Make content understood **Degree of freedom: MIXED.** Text-metric measurement `[LOW freedom — run exactly]`; grouping, iconography, and tone `[HIGH freedom]`. Audit-and-fix. The goal is **comprehension**: the least mental effort for the reader to understand the content. `enhance-web-ui` makes it look good; `audit-responsive` makes it fit the screen; this makes it *understood*. The backbone is **Cognitive Load Theory** (working memory is small — cut extraneous load) and **Gestalt** (the brain auto-groups visual elements — design with that). A consequence of CLT / information overload: showing *more* information can raise extraneous load and lower understanding. Replacing a dense paragraph with one table or diagram is a comprehension win **only when the visual reduces total load** versus the text it replaces — never decoration. ## This skill vs neighbors | Skill | Owns | |---|---| …

How to install
mdr add kensaurus/cursor-kenji/enhance-readability@sha256:44627213bbb4b829The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261019.95c89e5, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
