Guidelines describing how to test the code. Use whenever writing new or updating existing code, for example after implementing a new feature or fixing a bug.

## Conventions
- **Read capy knowledge base conventions** at [shared-capy-knowledge-protocol.md](shared-capy-knowledge-protocol.md).
- **Read verification policy** at [shared-verification-policy.md](shared-verification-policy.md).
- **Read profile detection** at [shared-profile-detection.md](shared-profile-detection.md). When an active profile contributes a `test/` subdirectory (e.g., `${TOOLBOX_PLUGIN_ROOT}/profiles/k8s/test/`), its `index.md` lists validators, check categories, and any binary-presence or auto-detection protocols the skill must apply. See Step 2 of the Workflow.
## Workflow
**Mandatory order — instructions before action.** The flow below is strictly sequential. Load this skill and its shared protocols, then complete profile detection and load all resolved profile content before investigating subject files or running validators/tests. Only bounded inspection to resolve a declared routing predicate may precede profile loading.

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
