Multi-AI research using available external providers (Double Diamond Discover phase).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

## Compaction-Resistant Contract
- Dispatch MUST go through background agents that call `${HOME}/.claude-octopus/plugin/scripts/orchestrate.sh probe-single`; direct single-model research is not a valid substitute.
- Use the dynamic fleet from `build-fleet.sh`; the plugin can route across Codex, Antigravity, Copilot, Qwen, OpenCode, Ollama, Perplexity, OpenRouter, Cursor Agent, and Claude depending on local availability.
- Before synthesis, run `${HOME}/.claude-octopus/plugin/scripts/orchestrate.sh agent-summary` and use only providers reported as `ok`, `degraded`, or `timeout` with usable output.
- For `standard` and `deep` research, require at least 2 usable provider outputs unless fewer providers are installed; failed/rejected providers are reported as gaps, not cited as evidence.
## Pre-Discovery: Optional Project Persistence
Workflow state is stored in the host workspace by default. Only create the
project-local `.octo/` lifecycle artifacts when the user explicitly opts in by
setting `OCTOPUS_PROJECT_PERSISTENCE=true`.

How to install
mdr add nyldn/claude-octopus/flow-discover@sha256:5ce2b5f56a246fb3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260929.dbf6863, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
