Printing Press CLI for Fec. This application programming interface (API).

# Fec — Printing Press CLI
## Prerequisites: Install the CLI
This skill drives the `fec-pp-cli` binary. **You must verify the CLI is installed before invoking any command from this skill.** If it is missing, install it first:
1. Install via the Printing Press installer. It defaults binaries to `$HOME/.local/bin` on macOS/Linux and `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\PrintingPress\bin` on Windows:

```
2. Verify: `fec-pp-cli --version`
3. Ensure the reported install directory is on `$PATH` for the agent/runtime that will invoke this skill.
If the `npx` install fails (no Node, offline, etc.), fall back to a direct Go install (requires Go 1.26.6 or newer). This installs into `$GOPATH/bin` (default `$HOME/go/bin`), so add that directory to `$PATH` instead:

How to install
mdr add mvanhorn/printing-press-library/pp-fec@sha256:4312ee52c1ab39d8The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260822.50826df, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
