Record and use a team knowledge base that lives outside the vault - a network drive, Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint folder. Survey mode reads the place and writes down how it is organised into projects/NNNN-<slug>/shared/; place mode says where a vault note belongs in it. Use when the user wants to register a team share for a project, refresh what is recorded about one, or work out where to file something.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# shared-space — the team knowledge bases outside the vault A vault project's notes are for the owner and their agents. A team keeps its own material somewhere else — a network drive, a Google Drive or SharePoint folder — organised by conventions nobody wrote down anywhere the vault can see. This skill records those places against a project, and uses what it recorded to say where something belongs. It has two modes. | Mode | What it does | |---|---| | `survey <project> <location>` | Read the place, work out how it is organised, and write `projects/NNNN-<slug>/shared/<name>.md` | | `place <note>` | Say where a vault note belongs in the project's shared spaces, and prepare the copy | The app's **Projects** tab lists what `shared/` holds and offers a prompt that launches survey mode; nothing about these notes is written by the app itself. **Source of truth.** The format spec is `.claude/rules/shared-space.md` in the vault; it loads when you read a shared-space note. The sections below are a working summary for surveying, and the rule wins where they differ. ## What is worth recording **The rules, not the folder tree.** Naming conventions, which kind of document …

How to install
mdr add atman-33/workhub/shared-space@sha256:85e6438c32247303The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261002.4768f11, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
