Shared hard rules enforced across all squad agents.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
## Context Every squad agent must follow these two hard rules. They were previously duplicated in every charter. Now they live here as a shared skill, loaded once. ## Patterns ### Product Isolation Rule (hard rule) Tests, CI workflows, and product code must NEVER depend on specific agent names from any particular squad. "Our squad" must not impact "the squad." No hardcoded references to cast-specific agent names in test assertions, CI configs, or product logic. Use generic/parameterized values. If a test needs agent names, use obviously-fake test fixtures (e.g., "test-agent-1", "TestBot"). ### Peer Quality Check (hard rule) Before finishing work, verify your changes don't break existing tests. Run the test suite for files you touched. If CI has been failing, check your changes aren't contributing to the problem. When you learn from mistakes, update your history.md. ## Anti-Patterns - Don't hardcode dev team agent names in product code or tests - Don't skip test verification before declaring work done - Don't ignore pre-existing CI failures that your changes may worsen

How to install
mdr add bradygaster/squad/agent-conduct@sha256:ed64a5f4b394f364The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260910.9cf5842, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
