Find and resume interrupted Copilot CLI sessions using session_store queries.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
## Context
Squad agents run in Copilot CLI sessions that can be interrupted — terminal crashes, network drops, machine restarts, or accidental window closes. When this happens, in-progress work may be left in a partially-completed state: branches with uncommitted changes, issues marked in-progress with no active agent, or checkpoints that were never finalized.
Copilot CLI stores session history in a SQLite database called `session_store` (read-only, accessed via the `sql` tool with `database: "session_store"`). This skill teaches agents how to query that store to detect interrupted sessions and resume work.
## Patterns
### 1. Find Recent Sessions
Query the `sessions` table filtered by time window. Include the last checkpoint to understand where the session stopped:

mdr add bradygaster/squad/session-recovery@sha256:54a7c1feba619de5The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260326.ac3dafe, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
