Run a structured decision-capture dialogue before $plan — locks implementation choices (model, evaluation methodology, accuracy threshold, scope boundaries) into discuss.md to prevent silent decision drift during planning. Supports --red-team flag for adversarial post-PASS challenge session.

# $discuss Run a structured pre-planning dialogue that captures implementation decisions before `$plan` runs. Prevents the planning agent from silently filling in gaps with choices the developer never consciously made. ## Preconditions - `.cocoplus/` must be initialized - `lifecycle/spec.md` must exist (run `$spec` first) ## Arguments | Flag | Effect | |------|--------| | (none) | Standard decision wizard | | `--red-team` | Standard wizard + adversarial challenge session after PASS gate | `--red-team` activates after the standard wizard completes with a PASS score (≥9). It loads `.cortex/skills/cocodiscuss/discuss-red-team/SKILL.md` and runs a non-blocking adversarial challenge session against every `discuss.md` decision. Advisory only — does not block `$plan`. ## Step-by-Step Behavior ### Phase 1 — Read Spec and Determine Context 1. **Verify initialization:** Check `.cocoplus/` exists. If not, output: "CocoPlus not initialized. Run `$pod init` first." and exit. 2. **Verify spec.md:** Read `.cocoplus/lifecycle/spec.md`. If not found, output: "Spec phase must complete before `$discuss`. Run `$spec` first." and exit. …

How to install
mdr add snowflake-labs/cocoplus/discuss@sha256:bf68776f442aa25aThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
