plan-sprint SKILL.md skillA
plan-sprint from atman-33/workhub is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.

Plan a sprint - set the goal, commit backlog items into scope, and write the burndown baseline (scope.json). Use at a sprint boundary when the user wants to plan the next sprint or commit items to a sprint.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Plan a sprint
Creates `projects/<p>/sprints/<sprint-id>/` with the human-readable plan and
the machine-readable scope that daily burndown tracking is measured against.
## Steps
1. **Sprint id**: `<year>.<sequence>` (e.g. `2026.15`) — sortable; next
sequence = latest existing + 1. Length comes from `project.json`
(`sprint.lengthDays`).
2. **Velocity check**: from `backlog/progress-history.jsonl` and previous
sprints' scope vs done, tell the user roughly how many points fit.
3. **Select scope with the user**: walk `product-backlog.md` top-down;
candidates need story + AC + points (send gaps to `manage-backlog`
first). Set each committed item's `sprint:` frontmatter.
4. **Write the outputs**:
- `planning.md` (team content language): sprint goal, dates, committed
items table, risks/dependencies.
- `scope.json` (burndown baseline — do not edit afterwards except via a
documented scope change):
```json
{
"sprint": "2026.15",
"start": "<date>", "end": "<date>",
"items": [{ "id": "P-0012", "points": 3 }]
}
```
5. Append an activity-log line, then remind the user the daily routine

How to install
mdr add atman-33/workhub/plan-sprint@sha256:01e00924730a8e4dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260720.f88c2b0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
