Generates, validates, and optimizes Fluent Bit configurations for production use. Use when creating new Fluent Bit configs, implementing log collection pipelines (INPUT, FILTER, OUTPUT sections), configuring Kubernetes log collection with metadata enrichment, forwarding logs to destinations (Elasticsearch, Loki, S3, Kafka, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry), building multi-line log parsing, or converting existing logging configurations to Fluent Bit.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Fluent Bit Config Generator ## When to Use Use this skill when you need to: - Create a new Fluent Bit configuration with INPUT, FILTER, and OUTPUT sections. - Build a Kubernetes log-collection pipeline with pod and namespace metadata enrichment. - Forward logs to a destination (Elasticsearch, Loki, S3, Kafka, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry). - Add multi-line parsing or convert an existing logging config to Fluent Bit. ## When Not to Use - Validating or debugging an existing config, which is the job of `fluentbit-validator`. - Log processing that belongs in Fluentd or Logstash rather than Fluent Bit. - Application-level structured logging, that is a code concern, not a Fluent Bit config concern. ## Philosophy - **Bound every buffer.** Each INPUT sets `Mem_Buf_Limit` so a burst cannot exhaust memory. - **Route explicitly.** Every OUTPUT matches a specific tag; `Match *` on all outputs duplicates and misroutes logs. - **Secrets never live in the file.** Credentials and tokens come from environment variables or mounted secrets, not `fluent-bit.conf`. - **Generate, then validate.** Hand the output to `fluentbit-validator` before calling it done. …

How to install
mdr add pantheon-org/tekhne/fluentbit-generator@sha256:8715165fc093eec4The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261001.6ed2a6a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
