Use when integrating the @amd-gaia/gaia npm package — running GAIA's flagship agent, or embedding its local sidecar into a Node, TypeScript, or Electron app. Covers the one-command path, the SHA-256 integrity gate, platform coverage, starting the sidecar, the /v1/gaia/query SSE contract, and the gotchas that will bite you.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Integrating `@amd-gaia/gaia` `@amd-gaia/gaia` delivers **two binaries** and owns their process lifecycle: the frozen **agent sidecar** (`gaia-agent`) and the Go **terminal UI** (`gaia-tui`). It ships no agent logic of its own, and it **builds neither binary at install time** — both are published artifacts it downloads and verifies. The terminal UI is the published `terminal-hub` component, the same binary a full GAIA install runs as `gaia tui`, so its behaviour cannot differ from that one. Everything runs on the local machine against a local model server — nothing you type or index leaves it. Two ways in: - **`npx @amd-gaia/gaia`** — fetch, verify, launch the terminal UI. What a human runs. - **The programmatic exports** — fetch, spawn the sidecar, drive `POST /v1/gaia/query` yourself. How to install
mdr add amd/gaia/integrate-gaia@sha256:dc3d06aca96275a1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261020.88d2773, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
