Install and configure shadowclone for the user from start to finish. Use it when the user asks to "set up", install, configure, or start shadowclone with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Pi, Antigravity, OpenCode, or another agent.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Set Up shadowclone
Do the whole setup for the user. The user only answers questions in chat and picks skills in the browser. Finish in less than 5 minutes.
Do the steps in order. Run long commands in the background, and do the next step while they run. Do not explain a step that works.
## 1. Check the CLI (10 seconds)
1. If this skill is on disk, run `node <this-skill-directory>/scripts/check-cli.mjs`. It runs only `shadowclone --version` and prints a status.
2. If this skill is not on disk, run `shadowclone --version`. Version 0.0.13 or newer is `ready`. A missing command is `unavailable`.
3. If the status is `ready`, run `shadowclone init --status --json`. If it prints `{"initialized":true}`, setup exists. Keep its consent choices, and go to step 4.
4. If the status is `unavailable` or `outdated`, tell the user that you will install the shadowclone CLI. Start `npm install -g @shadowclone/cli@latest` in the background. Never use `sudo`.
5. If npm cannot write to its global folder, show the exact error. Help the user choose a user-owned npm prefix, and run the install again.

How to install
mdr add theonly1me/shadowclone/setup-shadowclone@sha256:03545e4ed16cfa50The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261013.93eeaec, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
