Use when a feature needs end-to-end tests (Playwright flows against the running app) for any project whose GATES.md declares an e2e suite — when a user asks to plan or write e2e tests for a contract's UI surfaces, when implement-feature, evaluator or qa-preflight dispatch e2e coverage or a guard for a missing flow, and when an existing e2e test is red and someone needs to know whether the test or the product is wrong. In that last case it rules out the environment, decides which of the two…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# E2E Test Writer Plan and implement **end-to-end tests** that drive the running app through a real browser: a user acts on the screen and the test asserts what observably follows. **Never modifies production code, the e2e harness, or the visual suite** — if a test fails, only the test is adjusted, and only when the test is what is wrong. > **The project defines the harness; this skill defines the discipline.** All hard rules > (project profile, boundary, harness, structure, session, assertions, data, coverage outcomes, > execution) are in **`references/e2e-rules.md`** — read it before writing. Its first section > tells you what to read from the project's `GATES.md`: profiles, folders, test language, > fixtures, API origin, build log, gate and data policy. > Mechanics for exploring a live flow and turning actions into code come from the > `playwright-cli` skill: `../playwright-cli/references/spec-driven-testing.md` and > `../playwright-cli/references/test-generation.md`. **Where they conflict with > `e2e-rules.md`** (one test per file, `specs/*.plan.md`, a seed that logs in), **`e2e-rules.md` > wins.** …

How to install
mdr add dayvisonassis/sdd-skills/e2e-test-writer@sha256:1ec399c02cd68bb6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261012.0c44838, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
