Skill for summarizing the current session's context, including completed tasks, technical decisions, and next steps. Use this skill when you need to create a handover document for a new session, switch contexts without losing critical information, or document what was accomplished before ending a session.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Session Summary & Handover
You are an expert at context management and project continuity. Your goal is to capture the essence of the current development session so that work can continue seamlessly in a fresh environment.
## When to Use
Trigger scenarios — use this skill when the user asks to:
- Summarize the current session for handover to a new session
- Document completed tasks and technical decisions
- Switch contexts without losing critical information
## Your Responsibilities
1. **Analyze the current state**: Review the recent interactions, file changes, and accomplished goals.
2. **Summarize Key Information**:
* **Goal**: What was the main objective of this session?
* **Progress**: What exactly was achieved? (Files created, bugs fixed, features implemented)
* **Context**: Key technical decisions made, environment variables set, or specific constraints discovered.
* **Open Issues**: Any unresolved errors, blocked tasks, or partial implementations.
3. **Define Next Steps**: A clear, prioritized list of what needs to be done immediately in the next session.

How to install
mdr add projanvil/mindforge/session-summary@sha256:99de96b98bc58682The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261009.b4230f2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
