Create, improve, audit or delete the user's skills (SKILL.md) for Claude Code and Codex. Use when the user wants a new skill, says "fais-en un skill", "make this a skill", "améliore ce skill", a skill misbehaves, or their skills need cleaning up.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
A skill is a folder with a `SKILL.md` that teaches the agent one workflow it then applies on its own. Write skills in plain imperative prose: no headings, no bold, a numbered list only for ordered steps. Every line must change what the agent does; cut theory, filler and what the model already does by default. Talk to the user in their language, without jargon. Where a skill lives, always one source and links elsewhere, never two copies: - Used in every folder: `~/.agents/skills/<name>/` (Codex reads it there), linked for Claude Code with `mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && ln -s ~/.agents/skills/<name> ~/.claude/skills/<name>` unless `~/.claude/skills` already links to `~/.agents/skills`. - Only for the brain or one project (the default for a brain workflow): `<folder>/.agents/skills/<name>/`. Claude Code reads it through `<folder>/.claude/skills`, one link to that folder: when it is missing, create it with `mkdir -p <folder>/.claude && ln -sfn ../.agents/skills <folder>/.claude/skills`. How to install
mdr add melvynx/ai-maxxing-skills/skill-manager@sha256:10ff5d33867c45c2The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261024.45f2bfd, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
