Search, show, add to, correct or forget the layered long-term memory kept across Claude Code sessions (profile, project scenes, extracted notes, raw past conversations), and search the project's own files (RAG). Use when the user asks what was decided or discussed before, says "remember this" or "forget that", or when earlier context or the project's docs and code would help.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Strata
Request: `$ARGUMENTS`. `M` below means `python "${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/strata.py"` (on Windows `py` instead of
`python`). Run each `M` command as one standalone command.
Memory has four layers:
- **L3 profile:** stable traits and working preferences of the user. Shared by all projects.
- **L2 scenes:** one block per ongoing topic of this project.
- **L1 notes:** atomic facts, preferences, constraints and events. A newer note can supersede an older one.
- **L0 raw:** every past user and assistant message, redacted.
At session start the profile, this project's scenes and its newest notes are injected automatically. At session end
the session is stored in L0, and a background Haiku call extracts L1-L3 from it (when `auto` is on).

How to install
mdr add ahmadhammoud56/moaa/strata@sha256:ccd8b6f9979fbb44The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261026.5036e01, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
