# git-commit Plugin Structured git commit workflow with atomic commits, message validation, and conventions. Ships standalone: no skill here assumes another cc-foundry plugin is installed. ## Skills - **`commit`** — the pipeline: survey changes → plan units → quality gate → commit loop (stage → draft → self-review with body audit → validate → commit) → verify. Loads `commit-message` through its `<prerequisite>` block before the pipeline starts - **`commit-message`** — message format conventions. `user-invocable: false` ## Scripts - **`validate-commit-message.mts`** — commit message checks, printed as `ERROR:` and `WARN:` lines; a TypeScript module Node 26 runs directly - **`validate-commit-message.test.mts`** — imports the checks and the argument parsing, and spawns the script for its exit-code contract. Run `vp test plugins/git-commit` after any change to the script ## Validator Contract - **The validator prescribes; it does not block.** Every content problem it finds prints an `ERROR:` or `WARN:` line and still exits 0; only a missing, unreadable, or empty message exits 1. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
