Sequence initiatives across Now/Next/Later horizons, aligned to goals and outcomes. Part of the PDLC Strategy phase.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Build Roadmap An outcome-based roadmap, not a feature delivery calendar. Initiatives are sequenced by outcome and confidence across Now / Next / Later horizons, aligned to the goals in `goals.md`. The roadmap communicates *what we believe will create value and when*, and it is expected to change. ## Prerequisites - Apply the shared PDLC conventions in `skills/pdlc/references/shared.md`. - `goals.md` from `set-goals`, plus the set of validated/known initiatives. ## Steps 1. List candidate initiatives (validated opportunities, in-flight work, and known commitments). 2. Place each in a horizon: - **Now** — being worked or about to be (high confidence, capacity-assigned). - **Next** — validated enough to plan around (medium confidence). - **Later** — plausible but not yet validated (low confidence). 3. For each, record the outcome it targets (tie to an objective in `goals.md`), the owning team, and the confidence level. 4. Enforce realistic capacity: the Now column must fit available capacity. If it does not, move items down. 5. Make sequencing trade-offs explicit: what comes first and why (dependency, value, learning value, risk reduction). …

How to install
mdr add tomzx/agents/build-roadmap@sha256:f0739fadd5aff948The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261007.b35fc4b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
