Quality-checks a rendered demo video before it ships — extracts frames, grades each section against its successCriteria, and finds spinners, empty states, clipped text, exposed secrets, audio/video desync, and pacing problems. Use after a draft render, before a final render, or when asked whether a demo video is good enough to ship.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Demo Review
A rendered video is the first time anyone sees what the pipeline actually produced. Review it
before the final render, not after.
## How to look at it
You cannot watch a video, so sample it:

This writes 24 labelled frames plus `contact-sheet.png`. Read the contact sheet first — one
image, whole-video pacing — then individual frames for anything suspicious.
A Final Cut Pro finish is reviewed the same way, from the file the user exported
(`demo/out/demo-fcp.mp4`). Its frames can differ from the timeline wherever the user edited by
hand, so grade it against `successCriteria`, not against the Remotion draft. Its graphics come
from `sections[].fcp`: sample densely around every overlay's frame range, and check the
graphics items in the rubric.
**Review the film the storyboard calls authoritative.** With
`meta.authoritativeRenderer: "final-cut-pro"`, a Remotion draft cannot pass this stage: it
renders none of the Motion templates the user is approving. Say which file you reviewed.

How to install
mdr add lukaskellerstein/claude-my-marketplace/demo-review@sha256:21112277e5868be8The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260914.c87dd93, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
