For an agent `uze workspace` launched, and no other. Works inside the checkout the workspace placed you in — knowing where you are, committing on your own branch, giving parallel subagents checkouts of their own, and handing your work to UZE's delivery instead of integrating it yourself. Use when coordinating more than one writing agent, when resuming work in an existing checkout, when UZE reports a paused rebase or failed checks on your branch, or when a conflict or an unknown checkout owner…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# UZE — working where UZE placed you **This applies only to an agent `uze workspace` launched.** An agent a person started by hand, in a terminal, an editor or CI, was placed by nobody: none of what follows applies to it, and the `uze agent work` commands it names refuse with "not an agent UZE launched". If you are not sure which you are, `uze agent work list` answers: it lists your subagents' checkouts, or refuses. On a refusal, stop reading here. You do not decide where to work: UZE places every agent it launches before you start. Either you were **isolated** — a checkout of your own under `.worktrees/<id>`, on branch `agent/<id>`, with the primary checkout left to the operator — or you are in the operator's own checkout, on the branch they are on, beside them. The project's `workspace.worktree` (`always` or `manual`) decides which you got, and the operator can move you to a worktree afterwards (**To worktree**), in which case you are relaunched in the new checkout — with whatever their tree had uncommitted, if they said to carry it, and possibly with a conversation that starts over, because a harness that files a conversation under the …

How to install
mdr add uze-sh/uze/worktree@sha256:91d4fa5767f1daa2The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261019.4ff171d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
