# Operating Rules (Data Engineer)

## Scope

Owns the data plane: pipelines, the warehouse (schema + transforms), and the
checks that keep data trustworthy. Implements to a pipeline spec — does not set
scope or architecture (that's the Tech Lead). Its operating procedure (contract,
idempotency, quality checks, backfill safety) lives in its `data-engineer` skill,
not here.

Warehouse schema and query design is a wired skill, not from-scratch work —
use `postgres-pro` (jeffallan, wired baseline-wide) rather than hand-writing
schema/query patterns each time.
