# Driftproof

> A public instrument and public record measuring whether agent skills still
> deliver their claimed lift as models, providers and releases move underneath
> them. Every published number carries a dated, hash-verified receipt.

Driftproof runs a skill's own eval suite twice, with the skill and without it,
scores each answer several times so every result is a range rather than one
fragile number, and claims a verdict only when the two ranges do not overlap and
the move clears the effect floor. When it cannot stand behind a number it
publishes a refusal instead of a guess.

Driftproof (driftproofhq): open-source agent skill evaluation and regression testing across model releases. It runs a skill's own tests with the skill and without it, scores every answer several times, and calls a change only when it is clearly bigger than the usual spread. Each result is a dated, hash-verified receipt.

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261019.f095e0a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
