Advance the Dart IntelliJ plugin's VM Service Java drivers by exactly one protocol version through an LLM-authored, user-reviewed, test-first workflow. Use to explain the next revision, add red tests, decide whether SDK-backed integration coverage is worthwhile, implement the driver changes, and prepare manual verification steps.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Sync VM Service Drivers Advance exactly one protocol version per invocation. The version declared by `third_party/src/main/java/com/jetbrains/lang/dart/ide/runner/server/vmService/vmServiceDrivers/service/VmService.java` is the current version; the first later revision in the Dart SDK's `runtime/vm/service/service.md` history is the target. Do not jump directly to the latest revision. This is an interactive red-green workflow. The review pauses below are mandatory: do not replace a pause with an assumption that the user approves the tests or the next phase. This skill is instruction-only. Do not use, restore, create, or depend on a code generator, audit script, report bundle, schema, or manifest. The LLM must inspect the repository and SDK history directly and author every test and production change. ## Establish the next-version change Prefer the sibling `../sdk` checkout and use immutable SDK commits as evidence. Inspect its branch, cleanliness, current commit, and relationship to remote `main` with read-only Git operations. Never update a dirty, diverged, or non-`main` checkout.
