Search certificate transparency logs to enumerate subdomains and TLS certificates for any domain — no API key required.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Certificate Transparency Search (crt.sh)
Query [crt.sh](https://crt.sh) to enumerate all TLS/SSL certificates ever issued for a domain. Certificate transparency logs are public — no API key or account needed.
## When to Use
- User wants to find all subdomains of a domain (recon / asset discovery)
- User wants to see what TLS certificates have been issued for their domain
- User is doing OSINT on an organization's infrastructure
- User asks "what subdomains does X have" or "find all certs for domain"
- Security audit: discover forgotten or misconfigured subdomains
## How to Use
### List all certificates for a domain
```powershell
$domain = "taracod.com"
$url = "https://crt.sh/?q=$domain&output=json"
$certs = Invoke-RestMethod -Uri $url
Write-Host "Found $($certs.Count) certificate records"
$certs | Select-Object -First 10 | Format-Table id, name_value, not_before, not_after -AutoSize
```
### Extract unique subdomain names
```powershell
$domain = "taracod.com"
$url = "https://crt.sh/?q=$([Uri]::EscapeDataString("*.$domain"))&output=json"
$certs = Invoke-RestMethod -Uri $url
$names = $certs | ForEach-Object { $_.name_value -split "`n" } |
…Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add taracodlabs/aiden/crt.sh@sha256:bea8fda620e8416cThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
