Build AI agents with Strands Agents SDK. Use when developing model-agnostic agents, implementing ReAct patterns, creating multi-agent systems, or building production agents on AWS. Triggers on Strands, Strands SDK, model-agnostic agent, ReAct agent.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Strands Agents SDK
Build model-agnostic AI agents with the Strands framework.
## Installation
```bash
pip install strands-agents strands-agents-tools
# Or with npm
npm install @strands-agents/sdk
```
## Quick Start
```python
from strands import Agent
from strands.tools import tool
@tool
def get_weather(city: str) -> str:
"""Get current weather for a city."""
# Implementation
return f"Weather in {city}: 72°F, Sunny"
},
handler: async ({ city }) => {
return `Weather in ${city}: 72°F, Sunny`;
}
});
const agent = new Agent({
tools: [getWeather]
});
How to install
mdr add makiya1202/awesome-codex-computer-use/aws-strands@sha256:8c00e306274c4f98The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260107.0951120, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
