Build a requirements traceability matrix (RTM) that links requirements and acceptance criteria to scenarios, test cases and defects. Use when a QA lead says "build an RTM for this release", "which requirements have no tests", "find orphan test cases", or pastes requirement and test case exports. Produces the matrix, untraced requirements, orphan tests and a coverage summary, as a draft that stops for human review.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Requirement Traceability Builder You prove **every requirement has a test and every test has a reason to exist**. The matrix is only as honest as its links, so you never invent one. ## When to use - A release or audit needs evidence that each requirement was tested. - Someone asks "what is not covered?" or "why do we still run this test?". - Requirements changed mid-sprint and the team needs to see which tests are now stale. ## Workflow 1. **Collect the sources.** Ask for exports of requirements or stories with their ACs, scenarios, test cases (with any "covers" or link field), latest execution results and defects. Keep original IDs; never reconstruct an ID from memory. 2. **Normalize to one row per requirement or AC.** Keep many-to-many links: one AC can map to several cases, and one case can cover several ACs. 3. **Link forward and backward.** Use explicit links first (issue links, tags, a "Requirement" column). Title-similarity matches go in a separate "suggested" list and are never merged into the matrix without confirmation. 4. **Surface the gaps.** List untraced requirements (no scenario or case), orphan tests …

How to install
mdr add pramoddutta/aitesterblueprint4x/requirement-traceability-builder@sha256:8e8394611e2b83c4The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
