Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

What the file says

## OmniMem — Persistent Semantic Memory

You have access to a persistent memory system via the `omnimem` MCP server. It is the primary persistent memory store for all sessions.

-----

### Tool Priority

Before using web_search or answering from training data, ALWAYS query OmniMem first:

1. Call `recall("<relevant query>")` or `recall_index("<relevant query>")` to check for prior solutions, patterns, or knowledge articles
2. Only fall back to web_search if OmniMem returns nothing useful
3. Combine both when recency matters — use OmniMem for project context and prior decisions, web for the latest information

-----

### Session Start

At the beginning of every session:

1. **Determine the project name** — use the current working directory name as the default. If uncertain, call `list_projects()` and match against known projects. If the project is genuinely ambiguous, ask the human before proceeding.
1. Call `briefing(project="<project_name>")` — this single call aggregates project context, experience summary, stale memories, new knowledge articles, contradiction warnings, and reinstate candidates.

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint
mdr add richarvey/omnimem/claude_config/CLAUDE.md@sha256:60ffb4a9f3ba7f01

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260907.a334a95, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
