skill-provenance is agent-read markdown (skill) from snapsynapse/skill-provenance: Version, validate, package, verify, recover, and hand off Agent Skill bundles across local folders, registries, platform uploads, and agent sessions. Use for MANIFEST.yaml, CHANGELOG.md, bundle hashes, stale evals, frontmatter portability, derived skill packages, or version identity that must survive filename changes and cross-platform movement. Do not use for ordinary Git version control that does not involve an Agent Skill bundle. Compatible with the agentskills.io open standard..
Indexed from public GitHub and served as immutable, content-addressed versions. Install it pinned to an exact SHA-256 with the mdr CLI, and every file is verified against the hash recorded here before it reaches your agent. The deterministic audit below grades the latest version, and the same file always earns the same grade.
How to install
mdr add snapsynapse/skill-provenance/skill-provenance@v25mdr add snapsynapse/skill-provenance/skill-provenance@sha256:75cf176b93f3bc3fPin to a label to follow the author's releases, or to a sha256 to freeze the exact bytes forever. Either way the resolved hash is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install reproduces it on any machine.
