Hand the work discussed in this session (every message the user wrote, your replies quoted, where the code is) to another person, by email or straight to their ConnectOnion agent, after removing secrets and getting the user's approval of the exact text; and receive one from a pasted prompt that carries a `coh1.`, `coh2.` or `coh3.` code (`co handoff accept`). Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Handoff You are the agent that already holds the context: the user discussed this work with you. A handoff is one message to another person's agent: every message the user wrote in this session, word for word, your replies quoted, and where the code is. Anything missing, their agent asks next, and you answer. `co handoff` (experimental) does the preparing, the secret check, the preview, the sending and the receiving. **Always read its output, not just the exit code**; every command ends with a `Next:` line. How to install
mdr add openonion/connectonion/handoff@sha256:2ff34c477ae129bcThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261015.c0d138f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
