Formats plain text or markdown files with frontmatter, titles, summaries, headings, bold, lists, and code blocks. Use when user asks to "format markdown", "beautify article", "add formatting", or improve article layout. Outputs to {filename}-formatted.md.

# Markdown Formatter
Transforms plain text or markdown files into well-structured markdown with proper frontmatter, formatting, and typography.
## Script Directory
Scripts in `scripts/` subdirectory. Replace `${SKILL_DIR}` with this SKILL.md's directory path.

How to install
mdr add quriosity-agent/qcut/baoyu-format-markdown@sha256:5c905c2aef709c9eThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260525.2b74e19, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
