Summarise the commits on the current branch and write a markdown file suitable for pasting into a Pull Request description.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Pull Request Summary Analyse the commits unique to the current branch and write a structured markdown summary suitable for pasting into a Pull Request description. ## Arguments `$base` is optional: - If provided, use it as the base branch to compare against (e.g. `main`, `develop`) - If not provided, detect the default branch automatically (see step 2) ## Core Principles 1. **Only current-branch commits** — use `git merge-base` to find the exact fork point; never include commits from the parent branch 2. **Exclude merge commits** — always pass `--no-merges` to `git log` 3. **Never fabricate** — only report changes you can verify from the git history 4. **Summarise, don't parrot** — describe the *purpose* of each change, don't just repeat the commit message verbatim 5. **Be concise** — the summary should be readable in under a minute ## Steps ### 1. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
