An example user-invoked skill that demonstrates frontmatter options and the skills/<name>/SKILL.md layout.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Example Command (Skill Format)
This demonstrates the `skills/<name>/SKILL.md` layout for user-invoked slash commands. It is functionally identical to the legacy `commands/example-command.md` format — both are loaded the same way; only the file layout differs.

When this skill is invoked:
1. Parse the arguments provided by the user
2. Perform the requested action using allowed tools

## Frontmatter Options Reference
Skills in this layout support these frontmatter fields:
- **name**: Skill identifier (matches directory name)
- **description**: Short description shown in /help
- **argument-hint**: Hints for command arguments shown to user
- **allowed-tools**: Pre-approved tools for this skill (reduces permission prompts)
- **model**: Override the model (e.g., "haiku", "sonnet", "opus")

The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260317.6b70f99, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
