Ongoing entry point for a project's ROADMAP.jsonl. Pick the next task to work on (ranks candidates deterministically by dependencies and file-touch collisions, shows why each is where it is, then crafts a self-contained handoff prompt), add a new task, correct a stale one, accept, resume, defer, archive, or restore work, review roadmap status, or check the roadmap's structural health.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# foreman:roadmap — pick, add to, correct, review, or check the project roadmap
Foreman runs in Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity. Every step applies to every host unless it names one. Read [the shared runtime](../foreman/runtime.md) first: it covers plugin paths, JSON payloads, questions and authorization for every host.
All reads/writes to `ROADMAP.jsonl` at the project root go through
`${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/scripts/roadmap.js` — never read or edit the file
directly, the script enforces id computation and parse-before/after-write
mechanically — run it as `roadmap.js <subcommand> --help` (for example
`roadmap.js list --help`) for that subcommand's shape. Read the
**Fields** section of [roadmap-schema.md](../../roadmap-schema.md)
(`${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/roadmap-schema.md`) if you need field semantics beyond
what's obvious from the names.
**Pre-check**: if `ROADMAP.jsonl` doesn't exist at the project root, offer to
set the project up with [init](../init/SKILL.md) (`/foreman:init` in Claude
Code) and stop here. When the user's request already includes setup, run init
directly instead.

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
