Guides experienced trainees in hypertrophy programming, auto-regulation, and plateau diagnosis. Use when setting training volume or effort, adjusting a stalled lift, managing injury risk, or returning after injury.

Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

What the file says

# Hypertrophy Training

This skill covers evidence-based hypertrophy programming and auto-regulation for **experienced trainees**.

## When to use

Whenever an experienced trainee (roughly 9+ years of systematic training) asks
how many sets or how hard to train, how to auto-regulate a set or session, or
why progress has stalled (a two-step plateau diagnosis). Also when the
question is how to keep training while injury risk is elevated — an irritated
joint, heavy sleep debt, high life stress, a return after a layoff — or how to
work back to normal training after an injury and completed physical therapy.
Draws on recent volume and failure meta-analyses and Israetel et al.; not aimed at beginners.

> **Scope and safety note.** This is an educational summary of
> strength-training research, not medical, physical-therapy, or
> personal-training advice.
> Individual recovery capacity varies widely — genetics alone can shift the
> realistic outcomes of a given program by roughly ±50%. Training near
> muscular failure carries real injury risk if attempted without adequate
> technique, spotting, or safe equipment (see the RIR calibration in Part B).

How to install

The exact contents, by fingerprint
mdr add fabiandistler/agents/hypertrophy-training@sha256:624993cbb6d1c8d2

The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
