Copy text to clipboard with optional rich formatting. Triggers on "copy to clipboard", "copy that", "pbcopy", "copy formatted", "copy rich text".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Clipboard Copy the most recent relevant text block from the conversation to the macOS system clipboard. ## Plain Text Copy (Default) Use a heredoc to safely handle special characters (quotes, apostrophes, backticks, dollar signs): ```bash cat <<'CLIPBOARD' | pbcopy <text to copy> CLIPBOARD ``` ## Rich Text Copy (Formatted) Use when the user wants formatting preserved for pasting into Slack, Word, Google Docs, Notion, etc. Sets both HTML and plain text on the clipboard via Swift, so the receiving app picks the richest format it supports. **Step 1:** Write the HTML content to a temp file: ```bash cat <<'CLIPBOARD_HTML' > /tmp/_clipboard_rich.html <html><body> <h2>Title</h2> <p>Paragraph with <b>bold</b> and <i>italic</i>.</p> <ul><li>Item one</li><li>Item two</li></ul> </body></html> CLIPBOARD_HTML ``` **Step 2:** Write the plain text fallback to a temp file: ```bash cat <<'CLIPBOARD_TEXT' > /tmp/_clipboard_rich.txt Title Paragraph with bold and italic. - Item one - Item two CLIPBOARD_TEXT ``` **Step 3:** Set clipboard with both HTML and plain text using Swift: ```bash swift -e ' import AppKit …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
