Use when agents run together on the project's swarm board: a plan, a task swarm or a brainswarm, as its orchestrator or a member whose brief names a run, or when a run on the board has to be opened, read, interrupted or closed. Produces nothing but the run's state on the board. Not for documents (aiview).
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# swarm-board: the board **The board is where agents running together on one project see each other and settle what they share.** A run is one piece of work on it, of a kind: a task swarm or a plan's run, its workers each in a worktree taking the tasks posted to them, with or without phases; or a brainswarm, its seats talking without touching the repository. The board says who is there, doing what, and carries their talk. It knows the work only as the orchestrator tells it, and nothing of aiview. ## The tool `S="node <skill-dir>/swarm.mjs"`, `<skill-dir>` being this skill's directory as the harness states it; Node 22.5 or later. **`$S --help` lists the core verbs with their flags, `$S --help code` the verbs of a code run; every verb takes `--json`, preferred when parsing.** The store lives in the data home, never in a repository. **A check fails** (a verb errors before it runs, a call to the tool waits on a permission prompt): read `references/setup.md`. ## Who is who - **A member is `<group>/<id>`**: a worker's seat, `<group>/w2`, which the worker side guides (`references/worker.md`); on a brainswarm, a seat `<group>/<seat>`, …

How to install
mdr add ovich/swarmstorm/swarm-board@sha256:f756704cfe453b79The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261031.26f698f, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
