Plan and carry out where an open-source repository gets listed so people find it, from GitHub itself to registries, directories, public catalogues, media, communities and funding. Use when asked to grow, promote or publicise a repo, or where else it could be listed.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# grow-my-repo A **place** is anywhere a repository can be shown: a page on GitHub itself, a registry, a catalogue, a directory, a newsletter, a community, a programme. Every place has a **route** (the way in) and a **rule** (what it accepts, in its own words). Its **who** is `agent` when a pull request, a form or a publish command is enough, and `owner` when it needs the maintainer's own voice, identity, money or decision. Two files hold what is known: - [references/places.md](references/places.md): places by kind, each with its route, rule, cost and verdict, then the practices that have evidence behind them. Read only the sections a step names. - The **ledger**: one row per place per repository, the only record of what was sent where and how it ended. Ask the owner where it lives the first time; keep it out of the public repository unless they say otherwise. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
