Manage the lifecycle of agent skills in this repo - create new skills via skill-creator, pull/sync upstream skills with the `vd` CLI, validate frontmatter, bump versions, and ship releases through conventional commits. Use when the user says 'create a skill', 'add a skill', 'sync skills', 'release vd', 'bump version', 'update tracked skills', 'validate skills', or asks how to publish a new vd version. The underlying `vd` CLI reference (incl. `vd obs` observability) is vd:vd-cli.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# skill-management One entry point for everything skill-lifecycle in `vanducng/skills`: authoring (delegates to `skill-creator`), vendoring (delegates to the `vd` CLI), and releases (driven by conventional commits + release-please). Use canonical skill IDs in docs and handoffs: write `vd:cook plans/path/` without a leading invocation prefix. The user adds the runtime prefix when invoking it: slash in Claude Code, dollar in Codex. Pick the flag that matches user intent. How to install
mdr add vanducng/skills/skill-management@sha256:8df50a4d98b41af9The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
