Write idempotent Ansible playbooks, FQCN modules, roles, and inventories; gate prod with check/diff, pin collections, and keep ansible-vault secrets out of Git and chat.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. ## Overview & Engine Architecture
Ansible pushes **desired state** to hosts (SSH, WinRM, or cloud APIs) via **playbooks** and **roles**. Controllers assemble inventory + vars, then run modules that converge without requiring agents on targets. Production quality means **idempotent modules** (not raw shell), **FQCN** (`ansible.builtin.*`), **pinned collections**, and **vaulted secrets**. Treat `--check --diff` as a pre-flight gate; never invent vault passwords or cloud credentials.

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
