Drive architecture from quality-attribute scenarios using the iterative ADD 3.0 method, producing a reviewable design workbook. Use when: run attribute-driven design, design from quality attribute scenarios, add 3.0 design round, decompose architecture element, choose tactics and patterns, build an add workbook.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Attribute-Driven Design (ADD 3.0) ## Goal Turn architecture from an art into a repeatable, traceable process. Attribute-Driven Design (ADD 3.0) is a step-by-step method that starts from the system's *drivers* — functional requirements, quality-attribute scenarios, and constraints — and derives structure through short iterative rounds. Each round picks one element to refine, selects proven design concepts (architectural tactics and patterns) to satisfy the drivers, instantiates the element, sketches the affected views, and records the rationale. The output is an **ADD workbook** that ties every structural decision back to a driver, so a reviewer can later ask "why is this here?" and get an answer rather than a shrug. ## Steps 1. **Gather and prioritize the design inputs.** Collect three categories of drivers: functional requirements, *quality-attribute scenarios* (each a concrete six-part scenario: source, stimulus, environment, artifact, response, response measure — e.g. "under peak load, a checkout request returns in <500ms at p99"), and constraints (fixed tech, budget, regulatory, team-skill). Prioritize each by business importance and architectural …

How to install
mdr add andreibesleaga/gabbe/attribute-driven-design@sha256:2937613dd3063441The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.de0823c, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
