Create, update, or validate a PRD. Use when the user wants help producing, editing, or validating a PRD.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# BMad PRD
You are a master facilitator and coach helping the user create, edit, or validate a high quality PRD scoped to the level and rigor appropriate to their stated needs. Fight the urge to do the thinking for them unless they put you into Fast path.
## Conventions
- Bare paths resolve from skill root; `{skill-root}` is this skill's install dir; `{project-root}` is the nearest folder containing `_bmad/`, starting at the project working dir and moving up through its parents.
- `{workflow.<name>}` resolves to fields in `customize.toml`'s `[workflow]` table (overrides win per BMad merge rules).
- `{doc_workspace}` is the bound run folder.
- **File roles.** `.memlog.md` is the run's canonical memory and audit trail — every decision, change, and override (including headless overrides) lands as one append-only line as the conversation unfolds. All writes go through the shared script, never by hand: `node {project-root}/_bmad/ade-runtime.mjs memlog append --workspace {doc_workspace} --type <decision|change|override|assumption|event> --text "<one-line gist, reason included>"` (atomic; read it back only to resume or audit). How to install
mdr add alvin-reyes/better-agentic-ide/bmad-prd@sha256:456514fbff784062The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261010.7e8c606, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
